About Our Church

We are an Independent,  Bible Believing, Christ Centered, Baptist Church. Our desire is to serve the needs of our local community by sharing our faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, and his atoning work for us at the Cross. We desire to provide an atmosphere of reverence and worship for both the family, single or elderly person. We have a blended worship style that includes both praise & worship songs as well as the old hymns of our faith! We would love to have you come and help us grow into a vibrant and wonderful church in this area! To God be the Glory!

Statement of Beliefs

1. We believe The HOLY SCRIPTURES:  accepting fully the writings of the Old and New Testaments as the very Word of God, verbally inspired in all parts and therefore altogether sufficient in themselves as our only infallible and authoritative rule all all matters of religious faith and practice. We believe that the Kings James Version is a reliable,  time honored, and trustworthy translation of the Scriptures.  Therefore, our Pastor preaches from that version ,and it is the translation we wholly endorse. (II Tim. 3:16; II Peter 1:21; Isa. 8:20)

2. We believe in The ONE TRIUNE GOD: who is infinite, eternal, unchangable in His being, wisdom, power, holiness, justice, goodness and truth. He is also personal, spirit, sovereign, and absolutely separate and above the world as its Creator, yet everywhere present in the world as the upholder of all things; self-existent and self revealing in three distinct persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, each having a disctint ministry in God's relation to His creation and people. (Duet. 6:4, John 10:29-30, Acts 5:3-4)

3. We believe in The LORD JESUS CHRIST: who is the second person of the Triune God, the eternal Word and Only Begotten Son; that without any change in His divine Person, He became man by miracle of the Virgin Birth, thus to continue forever as both true God and true Man, one person with two natures; that as man He was tempted in all points as we are yet without sin; that as te perfect Lamb of God He gave himself in death upon the cross, becoming thate the sin of the world, and suffering its full penalty of divine wrath in our stead; that He arose bodily from the grave and was glorified; that as our great High Priest He ascended into Heaven, there to appear before the face of God the Father as our Advocate and Intercessor. (John 1:1; Luke 1:35; Isa 9:6; I Pet 1:18-19, Luke 24:35-48)

4. We believe in The HOLY SPIRIT: who is the third person of the Trinity, and the divine Agent in nature, revelation, and redemption; that He reproves the world concerning sin, righeousness and judgement; that at salvation He regenerates, indwells, seals and anoints all who become children of God through Christ; that He further empowers guides, teaches, sanctifies and fills believers who daily surrender to Him. (John 16:8; Eph 1:13-14, I Cor 12:12-14)

5. We believe ALL MEN BY NATURE AND CHOICE SINFUL AND LOST: that man was the direct creation of God,  made in His image and likeness: that by personal disobedience to the revealed will of God, Adam became a sinful creation, and father of the fallen race which is universally sinful in both nature and practice, thus allienated from the life and family of God, under the righteous judgment and wrath of God, and has within himself, no possible means of salvation. ( Gen 1:26,27; Rom 5:12)

6. We believe in SALVATION BY GRACE THROUGH FAITH: that salvation is the free gift of God, neither merited nor secured in part or in whole by virtue of the work of man, but received only by personal repentance and faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, in whom all true believers have as a present possession the gift of eternal life, a perfect righteousness, sonship in the family of God, deliverance and security from all comdemnation, every spiritual resource needed for life and godlness, and the divine guarantee that they shall never perish; that this salvation affects the whole man; that apart from Christ there is no possible salvation.
(Eph. 2:8-9; Rom 6:23; John 1:12)

7. We believe in RIGHTEOUS LIVING AND GODLY WORKS: not as a means of salvation in any sense, but as its proper evidence and fruit, and therefore as Christians, we should obey the Word of our Lord, seek the things which are above, walk as He walked, accept as our solemn responsibility the duty and privileges of bearing the Gospel to a lost world; remembering that a victorious and fruitful Christian life is possible only for those who, in gratitude for the infinite and undeserved mercies of God, have presented themselves wholly to Christ.
  (Rom. 12:1-2; Matt 28:19-20; Eph. 2:8-9)

8. We believe in THE EXISTENCE OF SATAN: who originally was created a holy and perfect being but through pride and wicked ambition rebelled against God, thus becoming utterly depraved in character, the great adversary of God and His people, leader of all other evil angels, the deceiver and god of this present world: that his powers are vast, but strictly limited by the permissive will of God who overrules all his wicked devices for good; thqat he was defeated and judged at the Cross, and therefore, his final doom is certain; that be are able to resist and overcome him only in the armor of God; by the blood of the Lamb, and through the power of the Holy Spirit. (Job 1:6-7; II Thess. 2:7-9; Matt. 4:2-11; Rev. 20:10)

9. We believe in THE SECOND COMING OF CHRIST: that His return from heaven will be personal, visible and glorious, a blessed Hope for which we should constantly watch and pray, the time being unrevealed but always imminent that when He comes He will first by the resurrection of the dead and translation of the living remove from the earth His redeemed ones, then pour out the righteous judgments of God upon the unbelieving world, afterwards descend with His Saints and establish His Glorious and Literal Kingdom over all the nations for a thousand years. (I Thess. 4:13-18, 5:9; Rev 19:11-20, Zech 14:4-11)

10. We believe in FUTURE LIFE, BODILY RESURRECTION, AND ETERNAL JUDGMENT: that the spirits of the saved at death go immediately to be with Christ in Heaven, that their works shall be brought before the Judgment Seat of Christ for the determination of rewards which wil take place at the time Christ comes for His own; that the spirit of the unsaved at death decend immediately into Hades where they are kept under punishment until the final day of judgment, at which time their bodies shall be raised from the grave, that they shall be judged and cast into the Lake of Fire, the place of final and everlasting jugment.
(John 14:1-3; I Thess. 4:16; Rev. 20,21:1-7; Matt. 25:46)

11. We believe in THE SEPARATION OF CHURCH AND STATE: with each having definite and distinct speres of responsiblity. (Rom 13; I TIm. 2:2; I Pet. 2:13-25)

12. We believe in THE PRIESTHOOD OF ALL BELIEVERS: that Christ is our Great High Priest and through Him every born-again person has direct access into God's presence without the need of a human priest, that the believer has the right and responsibility to personally study and interpret the Scriptures, guided by sound principles of interpretation and as illuminated by the Holy Spirit. (Eph. 2:18; I Pet. 2:5; Heb 13:15

13. We believe in the DIVINE INSTITUTION OF THE LOCAL CHURCH: that a true New Testament church is a local assembly of born-again baptized believers who are a body, with Christ as its head, united in orgaization to practice New Testament ordinances, including both baptism and the Lord's Supper, and to meet together for worship, prayer, fellowship, teaching, and united testimony; to actively engage in carrying out the Great Commission.
(1 Cor 12:13; Eph 1:22-23, 5:25-27; II Cor. 11:2; Acts 2:42)

14. We believe in the INDEPENDENCE AND AUTONOMY OF THE LOCAL CHURCH: that each New Testament church is free to govern itself without ecclesiastical interference and should cooperate with other New Testament churches as the Holy Spirit leads, that it is responsible to follow the pattern of the New Testament church and is directly accountable to God. The two spripural offices are Pastor and Deacon. (Acts 14:23-27, 20:17; I Tim 3:1-13; Titus 1:5-11)

15. We believe THE ORDINANCES GIVEN TO THE LOCAL CHURCH ARE BAPTISM AND THE LORD'S SUPPER : that baptism is by immersion of believers, (once backwards in the Name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit) thus portraying the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Chrust; that the Lord's Supper is the partaking of the bread and cup as a continuing memorial of the broken body and shed blood of Jesus Christ. This is to be taken by an obedient, baptized believer, who is a member of a New Testament church.
(Matt 28:19; Rom. 6:3-5; Acts 8:36-37; I Cor. 11:23-29)

16. We believe THAT ALL THE SAVED ARE CALLED INTO A LIFE OF SEPARATION: this separation is in at least three areas: moral, personal, and ecclesiastical.

A. MORAL: The Ten Commandments are God's Perfect standard for a perfect man. We are ;commanded to perfect holiness. (II Cointhians 7:1) in the fear of God by His grace.

B. PERSONAL: Romans 14 explains that there are going to be areas where the believers are going to disagree in matters which they call sin. The stronger brother will be able to do things that the weaker brother cannot. The weaker will do things that the stronger brother will not. In matters of eating, holy days, etc, every man should be fully persuaded in his own mind according to certain principles of the Word of God. (Romans 4:5b.) Collossians 3:17; I Corinthians 10:31; ICorinthians 8:9; I Corinthians 10:23)

C.) ECCLESIASTICAL: It is evident that unbelief and error in many organized fellowships has developed to the point where recognized and indisputable apostacy exists. We, therefore, disavow the position of the World Council of Churches, the National Council of Churches, the National Association of Evangelicals, and any other association of fellowship that would be in sympathy with them. We stand in opposition to the Charismatic Movement, Ecumenical Movement, Neo-Orthodoxy, New Evangelicalism, New Fundamentalism, New Age Movement, Interdenominationalism, and Cooperative Evangelistic Programs between organizations and churches not of like precious faith.
 (II Corintians 14:33, 40; Ephesians 5:11-12; Luke 12:51)

17. We believe THAT THE HEALING AND TONGUES MOVEMENT: is unsriptural and contrary to sound doctrine and those who believe and practice these aer in error.
(I Corinthians 14:33, and 13:8-11)
